Keep class interesting by playing this game during your lecture or review time!

Skill Level: All Skill Levels.

Materials: A-10 and two face cards from deck of cards.

Instruction:
Class is divided into teams. To play the game, student is allowed to choose a card at random from the deck. If it is a number card (A-10), student’s team receives that many points. (To make the game more interesting I multiply each card’s value by ten. e.g. Ace=10 points, 2=20 pts, and so on.)

Face cards can be used however you want to spice up the game. Usually I use a red and black king. The red king takes away ten points and the black king takes away twenty. Other cards can be used to make students perform tasks (answer another question, act out a verb, pick again, etc.) rather than changing the score.

If you already have a deck of cards to play Wheel of Fortune! you can use those cards for this game.
